On our recent holiday we spent a few nights at Girraween National Park.
Bought some groceries from Woolworths in nearby Stanthorpe.

Found a premix pack of Continental Beef Caserole.
Followed the recipe on the back and improvised with some diced potato and carrot and a splash of red wine.

Being in a National park it has to be done in a designated fire area.
Hence using the BBQ area.
A storm broke loose while cooking..had to stand over the CO and beads for about 15 minutes with a large golf umbrella.

That kept the rain off till a big gust of wind turned the umbrella inside out.. It is now in a bin at Wallangarra.

The second photo speaks for itself..

Dinner is served with a fine Pepperjack red.

Slicker than a rat with a gold tooth RT.
I stayed at Girraween a few years back mid winter. The car was still coated with ice at midday and only cold showers on tap. Since then I always travel with the Coleman hot water on demand & always have nice hot showers when needed.

Nice lookin' grub mate.

Gee that looks good, Art! That looks like a big CO, what size is it?

Is Girraween really dry? The last time I was down there there was hardly any water left in Storm King Dam, and everything looked really brown and sad.

My life is a performance for which I was never given the chance to rehearse.

Thats a 12" Lewis and Clark Camp Chef from Anaconda.
Girraween was beautiful and green, the creek was running fast.
It is one of my very most favourite spots.
Many fond memories with the children when they still went camping with us.

We're off down south in a few weeks, as soon as the dust settles after the school holidays.

I understand PD.
On my second day back at work I applied for another 16 days off in April.
Just can't get enough of being away.
Can't use too many days though.
Have a plan to take off 16 weeks off, each year for the last 5 years still in the job.
How sweet it is.... Grin
