Last question KD,
what size C.O. is in photo?

10" Furphy.  The lugs are perfect for this Fire Pot.

Yup, and I guess it is from those tall bottles like we have outside our house.

My favourite Beef Strogenauf recipe is simple as!!

Brown beef & onions, add mushrooms,
de-glase pan with a dry red wine, (1/2 depth of meat, then simmer to release alcohol), add sour cream & simmer..........easy sauce & tastes great!!!

It may not be common knowledge but the LPG bottle that you swap over is changing size.  Where you got a 9kg in the past has become an 8.5kg and - of course - the price remains the same!  Angry

This means that there are heaps of the old 9kg bottles being turfed out and if you cut the top off turn it upside down and make it a base then you have the "above" cooker.  I have one with a door in the side just for good looks!

My mother-in-law fell down a wishing well, I was amazed.       I never knew they worked.

I used the Cocochef brikettes (Bunnings) which tend to burn hotter and longer than Heatbeads. In fact they were still going so well after the Strog that I wipped up a rice pudding which is still on the go.

I will need to have a look at these how mush is the 2 kg worth $.
Heat beads are about $14 for 10kg

KD great looking meal

Are you sure they are actually a different bottle???

I think you'l find they are the same bottle with the bleed tube going a little further into the bottle to stop them being able to be filled to 9Kg of liquid, leaving more air space in the top to allow for thermal expansion & a higher safety factor???

Cheers. Mick.
