I will need to have a look at these how mush is the 2 kg worth $.
Heat beads are about $14 for 10kg

$3.50 a box in Bunnings, not seen them anywhere else.
They are made of Coconut shell.
Very quick to start like Cobblestones for the Cobb cookers.

My email is:

kak91@optusnet.com.au

My father makes the pots but has just had surgery
for prostate cancer so I am not sure how long it
will be before he has some more ready. Knowing
him it won't be too long. I can let you know as
soon as he has some done if you like. The last
lot he sold went for $40 each.

Thanks Ken

Any chance of a few pics of it empty etc.

Like Cobb cookers, the key is ventilation under the fire.

Are you sure they are actually a different bottle???

No difference to the bottle size Mick, just under filling, for supposed safety reasons, funny how the forklift bottles and 45kg bottles dont seem to have the same "safety concerns"

My last 9 kilo bottle exchange had 8.5 kg on the receipt but was definitely a 9 kg bottle.

I think it is "Truth in Labelling", they are a 9 Kg bottle but only filled to 8.5 Kg, they are exactly the same size bottle.
Whatever happened to the places that sold LPG by weight ?  They weighed your bottle before and after and you only paid for the actual gas you got. Now with the "Swap and Go" bottles I've had a couple that besides being over 10 years old and hadn't been reconditioned/ restamped were a bit suss on the amount of gas they held. I've become a PITA now, when I swap bottles I check the year on the collar and weight.
In NSW Rays Outdoors exchange out of date bottles for the same price as those in test, I forget how much for a 3.7 Kg  ( thanks BBC !!!!) about $12.00 I think.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd
